GLUCONOLATTONE (PHA)<\/span>
\nGluconolattone is a poly hydroxy acid. It has a strong long-term hygroscopic and hydrating effect due to the presence of many hydroxylating compounds. Applied to the skin, it encourages exfoliation and cell renewal through the process of keratinisation. It also has good antioxidant properties and acts to repair a damaged cutaneous barrier.<\/span><\/p>\n

LACTOBIONIC ACID<\/span>
\nLactobionic acid is one of the most important of the new generation of alpha hydroxy acids, called poly hydroxy acids (PHAs).<\/span>
\nLactobionic acid has strong cutaneous hydration properties and is one of the most hygroscopic chemical substances.<\/span>
\nIt retains the moisture on the skin binding it robustly to what is added by the cosmetic product, creating a gel with a high degree of cutaneous hydration as well as protective and emollient effects.<\/span>
\nIt has a significant antioxidant effect which is particularly useful in anti-ageing cosmetics and prevents skin ageing caused by exposure to the sun (photo-ageing) and reduces its damaging effects. As with other alpha hydroxy acids (glycolic, lactic, malic, tartaric and citric), lactobionic acid is effective in regulating the process of keratinisation, promoting cutaneous and cellular renewal and replacement while improving skin condition. It also has a lighteningeffect. It is not an irritant and can therefore be used on delicate skin.<\/span>

MANDELIC ACID<\/span>
\nThe name \u201cmandelic\u201d comes from the word \u201cmandel\u201d meaning almond.<\/span>
\nIt belongs to the AHA category (alpha hydroxy acids) and is a prized ingredient used in the following cosmetic effects: Lightening, Exfoliating, Decongestion, Anti-inflammation.<\/span><\/p>\n

PHYTIC ACID<\/span>
\nSodium Phytate is the sodium salt of phytic acid, a chelator of natural origin obtained from wheat and rice bran. It comes in the form of a dark-colored liquid, soluble in water, with a characteristic odor. The main function of Sodium Phytate consists in the chelation of metal cations (calcium, magnesium, iron) preventing them from binding to other ingredients of the cosmetic formulation by altering the stability of the product itself.<\/span><\/p>\n

SALICYLIC ACID (BHA)<\/span>
\nThis is a beta-hydoxy acid extracted from the Salix alba plant (white willow). It features a strong keratoplastic and smoothing effect. It provokes exfoliation of the outer skin layers and is very effective in eliminating \u201ckeratin plugs\u201d and freeing blackheads from their sebaceous containers. Here it also performs a bacteriostatic role, drying and smoothing the skin without irritation.<\/span><\/p>\n

VITAMINA E<\/span>
\nVitamin E (and therefore all antioxidant substances) produce an anti-wrinkle effect which helps prevent the appearance of the signs of premature ageing. Vitamin E performs a vital role in the promotion of regenerative processes in tissue damaged by the sun\u2019s rays.<\/span>
\nHydration: the presence of Vitamin E on the skin creates a protective layer which limits moisture loss. It is the best vitamin to prevent the effects of the process of oxidisation, even in younger skin. Reduces damage and encourages tissue repair.<\/span><\/p>\n
