Azelaic acid (AHA)
This is a natural substance, effective against various skin imperfections. Reduces pigmentation and effective on very dark skin, affected by melasma or marks left by acne.
Lactic acid (AHA)
Lactic acid is an organic acid belonging to the alpha hydroxy acid category, a substance able to break the bonds created between keratinocytes and encourages physiological cutaneous exfoliation. Lactic acid has cutaneous exfoliating, pH regulating and conditioning properties.
Pyruvic acid (AKA)
This is an alpha keto acid. Its action thins the stratum corneum, thereby facilitating the rapid removal of pigmented corneocytes, with the resulting lightening effect and increased cutaneous glow. When applied to acne skin, it penetrates deep into the follicles where it has a bacteriostatic and comedolytic effect which encourages the evacuation of cysts and microcysts. It also produces a sebostatic effect and reduces greasiness in the epidermis.
Salicylic acid (BHA)
This is a beta-hydoxy acid extracted from the Salix alba plant (white willow). It features a strong keratoplastic and smoothing effect. It provokes exfoliation of the outer skin layers and is very effective in eliminating "keratin plugs" and freeing blackheads from their sebaceous containers. Here it also performs a bacteriostatic role, drying and smoothing the skin without irritation.
Hyaluronic acid (Sodium Hyaluronate)
This is a fundamental component of the skin with hydrating, regenerating and anti-ageing effects. It preserves cell function and provides elasticity, flexibility and firmness.
